Client: Clixflow (a website-building brand)

Work: Design a form integrated into the website 

CHALLENGE

Create a form inside the website to collect user data​

  • Create a 4–6 step form (multiple screens)

  • Collect user data to help customize the product to the user’s intended use

SOLUTION

  • Headline: welcome users and ask a question that has a human touch

  • Body copy: explain why users need to fill the form with a benefit

  • Users will have worries about how long this may take so tell them it'll be real quick

  • Add progress checker to let users know how far to go

  • Headline: ask why question to know users' motivation

  • Body copy: use category to group text for easy understanding and scanning 

  • Add textbox for users to enter answer if the options don't fit for them

  • Add button BACK for users to go back and change answers

  • Headline: ask this question so that we can know if users prefer templates or building sites from scratch

  • Body copy: provide easy options

  • Headline: ask a clear question to know users' interest

  • Body copy: provide easy options 

  • Use concise and conversational microcopy "Not exactly?" to replace "Can't find what you're looking for?"

  • Add textbox for users to enter other answers. If the typed answer reaches a certain number, it will be added to the existing options.
